Spellchecking — Chrome

This instruction applies to Google Chrome and similar browsers like Chromium and Iron.

Download the Chromium dictionary.

Start your browser. Install a dictionary for a language you know you won't use: right-click a text field, you should see "Spell checking options" and next menu "Language settings".

Now you need to locate the installed dictionary on disk. Go to your browser user directory. Dictionaries are usually located in the parent directory and are named using language codes, for example the English one is en-GB-3-0.bdic. Replace the file you won't use with the file from our website. If you are not able to find dictionaries in the user directory, try also C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\Dictionaries.

For example, you can first install the Albanian dictionary, replace AppData\Local\Chromium\User Data\sq-3-0.bdic with dsb-DE-1-4-7.bdic (but rename it to the name of the original file: sq-3-0.bdic) and from now set "Albanian" when you want to check spelling in a Lower Sorbian text.
